A Birchbox Box

My first Birchbox has arrived!

So Birchbox.com is this great website that offers tons of great beauty and lifestyle products for Women, Men, and as of late, Home. The website is filled with tons of products from high end, upcoming and everything in between including exclusive products and sets. The site also has a full blog, online magazine and videos. What more do you need?? As you shop and review products on the site you earn points that turn into credit for more products! And come on...who doesn't want more products??

But besides all that goodness, Birchbox.com has The Birchbox. A small box of beauty and lifestyle products samples that are mailed right to you for $10 a month! Seriously. It's only ten bucks. With no contract. Every month there are new samples sent right to you, and if you love a product  you can purchase a full size right on the website. So smart.

This is like the ultimate adult beauty grab bag. How exciting!!

I signed up with them about a month ago and it took a few weeks for me to get an invite to join the monthly Birchbox club, but you can shop on the site at any time. Novemeber's box arrived yesterday and I'm still beaming about it!  Here's what I got!....

It all arrived in a small pink box. I thought, 'how cute!" but it got better!
It opened up into a brown box all nice like!

The Contents:

1. A holiday gift guide complete with things for men and women.
8. A Coupon for $15 off Chromatic Heels
9. A Giving Pouch specially made to be packed and given to someone else, complete with cute sayings on the back!

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, November's box theme was Give. The small note inside explains the theme and the nonprofit organization that Birchbox is working with, The Art of Elysium which encourages actors, artists, designers and musicans to dedicate their time and talent to children who are battling medical conditions. Such a great cause and such a wonderful effort!
To help out The Art of Elysium simply by doing some shopping and/or gift giving, check out: birchbox.com/promotion/artofelysium

So not only is Birchbox sending me tons of awesome things to play with, but they're doing good too?? So amazing!

I'm excited to try out all these products and already can't wait until next month's box! Until then, I'll be an artisan smelling, volumized ponytail wearing, mascaraed, soft skinned beauty with metallic nails.

I see a great future together with Birchbox, but in this relationship, I could share. So go now and sign up!

PS....don't forget your guys either. There's plenty of stuff for him and a Men's Birchbox!

Free Is The Best Price

I don't think there is anything better than free. There can't be. I mean, all the best things are free, ergo, free itself is the best thing, no?? What's even better is when stores give you free stuff for your birthday. Thankfully, Sephora is one of these stores and during a little trip there I was given this lovely Birthday Gift by Fresh.

These mini lip balms are half the size of a normal chap stick, the perfect size to throw into a pocket or clutch....or to lose in a big bag.

The duo comes with regular Fresh, which is a clear treatment and Rose, a very lightly tinted rose shade.

Both lip balms have SPF 15 in them, along with the most wonderful combination of ingredients to make your lips feel immediately soft and smooth, not greasy or heavy, just silky and fully nourished. Also not to be forgotten is Fresh's amazing citrus scent. It smells like a delicious version of Dolce & Gabbana's Light Blue Perfume. As a citrus scent lover, this little birthday pack is wonderful!

I feel almost wrong calling these tubes lip balms because they feel far more luxurious than your average lip balm. The way they glide on your lips and how moisturizing they feel without being greasy reminds me of the L'Occitane Lip Balm Stick, which is basically like putting heaven on your lips and surprisingly cheaper than the Fresh Lip Balms, L'occitane being $10 and the Fresh coming in at a whopping $22.50 per full size tube.  I know that seems totally ridiculous for a lip balm, but after using it for a full day, I could absolutely justify that cost.

Would I buy this on my own? Hm...not totally sure about that. Only because these are so amazing I would feel guilty about cheating on them with some other lip product. And I just can't walk away from my copious amounts of lip products. I can't. I won't. I'm in too deep, man.
